About the Author
Jody Gerber graduated Dixie State University in December 2018 with her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Studio Art with an emphasis in drawing and painting. Art has always been a fascination for her and she is inspired by the beauty she sees in people and nature. In the future, she plans to further her studies in art, to open new doors and expand her opportunities. She has lived in Northern Utah, the Pacific Northwest and now resides in southern Utah. She enjoys the outdoors and the many activities of the desert. She is honored to be involved in the Dixie State University Trailblazers Art in the City project.

Trailblazer Wayne is a dedication to Innovation Plaza at Dixie State University. Dr. Wayne Provost is honored for his efforts in helping students and residents with patents and entrepreneurship. This bison depicts the desert thunderstorms representing the ideas of innovation that are electrified by DSU’s atmosphere of active learning.
