Stars

Description

“The Design of the Stars” is inspired by the rich history of visual communication, retro design, integrated with with well known icons in St. George. Sponsored by Star Sign, the illustrations on the bison are focused on the trade of signage and the many different ways signs communicate. A 3-D cutout of the Star Sign compass icon is also mounted on the head of the bison, which is a unique feature to this beast. The theme of “Star” is found throughout the design in both symbolism and in the text. The style is inspired by much of the vintage design on the 50’s and 60’s as well. Several iconic visuals of the of the area are found in the design, including the St. George Temple, The “D”, Larsen’s Frostop, Dinosaur Tracks, Swig, Palm trees, Cactus and a few more “easter eggs.” All these elements, make this Trailblazer a standout piece on display.
