Megan Church is the Events and Promotions Specialist here in the UMAC. She recently graduated from DSU with a degree in Integrated Studies emphasis in Biology and Communication. As a student was involved in planning hundreds of events and activities on campus and in the community including, several major concerts, carnivals, and university traditions. As a senior, Megan was able to create and develop Dixie State University Student Association’s first service department and worked with the university, staff, faculty, and the community to provide service opportunities for students.
Currently, Megan is responsible for organizing university events on campus and promotional activities throughout the community. She is responsible for overseeing and assisting in the planning of commencement, fundraisers, and university sponsored events, including the Kite Festival where DSU with local partners hosted over 20,000 people. Megan also worked with Dr. Jordon Sharp and the UMAC team in coordinating the rollout event of Dixie’s new athletic brand, and the distribution of 17,000 children’s books to local elementary school students.
A St. George native, Megan loves all things summer and outdoors including swimming, hiking, and most sports. She is a major movie fanatic and loves attending musicals. Her favorite treat is movie theater popcorn and her biggest pet peeve is when people chew with their mouth open.
